Hey, I’m Caleb. I am a Creative Advertising Student at Humber Polytechnic, formerly an Advertising Graphic Design Student at you guessed it, Humber Polytechnic.
My Studies across both programs have taught me a lot about myself, a love for typography, an affinity for grid systems, and a newly found hobby of picking apart ads, pamphlets, resumes, menus, or anything that is designed to deliver information (it's more of a curse the more I think about it)
Hobbies? Well, I’m glad you asked. Skateboarding has always been a big interest/hobby of mine, and my experience can be summarized as follows:
Fail, fall, fail again, fall again, “I’m a failure,” repeat previous steps a few more times, and finally, somewhere along the way, it happens, my first ollie.
I think that’s why Advertising appeals to me, lots of failing, feeling like a bum, but then, something, something really cool, a campaign or project where all the stars align, and then it ends up on this portfolio.
